Uncle Ho’s stilt house at the Temple started to be constructed

(CPV) - On the morning of November 15th, Tra Vinh province began construction of Uncle Ho’s stilt house at the Temple to Uncle Ho which is a historical site in Vinh Hoi, Long Duc commune, Tra Vinh province.

The work, with total investment of 5.2 billion VND, designed by the Center for DisplayApplications under the Ho Chi MinhMuseum, includes main items such as :Uncle Ho’s stilt housematerials and objects used will adhere as in the prototype. The project is expected to be completed on April 30, 2012.
The Temple to Uncle Ho in Tra Vinh province was built in 1971. During the war, the temple was destroyed many times by the enemy. However, the temple had become the symbol of resistance in the heart of people in Tra Vinh. Every year on the death of President Ho Chi Minh, people there still regularly organize Uncle Ho’s death anniversary to express their gratitude to him.
The project will meet the expectations of the Party, government and people in Tra Vinh province, especially those who do not have the opportunity to visit the working place of Uncle Ho in Hanoi. At the same time, the stilt house is also a place to keep precious souvenirs of Uncle Ho.
