(CPV) - On the evening of November 17th , 2011, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Hanoi, Faculty of Journalism and Communication will hold a “Media Festival to promote Vietnamese Cultural Heritage” to welcome the Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (20/11/2011).
The program is not only a meaningful spiritual gift presented to the teachers of school on the occasion of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day, but it also opens up an art cultural space for thousands of students of social sciences and humanities to enjoy and understand the value of the cultural heritage of ethnic groups.
The program will feature the arts of the Northern Delta such as: Quan họ Cổ (Ancient Love Duets) - the Diem village; Ca Tru Thai Ha (Thai Ha ceremonial song); Hát Xẩm (songs of a strolling blind musician)...
Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thi Minh Thai - the Art Director of the program said: "Spending a lot of time and energy on this festival, I expect to bring students, educators and journalists a great opportunity to understand the precious andintangible role of cultural heritage with regard to the preservation and promotion of the national essence in the modern media environment today. They must understand before they can love. And once one falls in love, they will develop and make the public understand and love the priceless value of the cultural heritage, the essence of the Vietnamese nation. In conclusion, this true and authentic art is very worthy of transmitting"./.
